At a height of 2,700M, the Banjara Camp is surrounded by towering mountains on all sides and is set on the banks of the Baspa River that surges through the Sangla valley.

The Camp and Retreat is an ideal setting for total relaxation with cosy Swiss-style tents, regular and deluxe rooms that have attached bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and evening bonfires that keep the chill away. It is famous as a base camp for treks to view snow covered Himalayan peaks, experiencing some of the local culture and traditions, River crossing, angling for trout, rock climbing and rappelling are some of the delights that are on offer.

The COST PER NIGHT includes all meals & all applicable taxes.

It does not include a 5 % Service Charge on the above cost, which the guest is liable to pay directly on site.

The tariff does not include barbeque and activities.

The driver/helpers are charged Rs. 300 for food and Rs. 200 for stay i.e. Rs. 500 per day..

Additional Cost for extra children / adults sharing the room/tent at all places would be:

Child below 5 years (No extra bed) – Complimentary

Child between 5 & 12 years (with or without extra bed) – INR 1500 /child /night

Adult (anyone aged 12 yrs or more) – INR 3000 /person /night



How to get there:

From Shimla to Karcham (the turnoff point on NH 22) is 209kms. Please take a right turn at Karcham. And at around 18 km down the road, you will hit Sangla. 6 km ahead of Sangla you would spot the “Banjara Camp” sign on the right. Take a right turn from here to reach the Banjara Camp parking lot at the base of the hill.


By Air:

By Train:

Daily morning and evening Shatabdi from Delhi- Chandigarh


Daily overnight train (Kalka mail) from Delhi- Kalka- Delhi (Train starts from Kolkata)


By Road:

Delhi- Sangla: 600 km: 16-17 hrs (best to break journey en route at Thanedar or Shimla)


Chandigarh- Sangla: 360 kms/ 11-12 hrs


Shimla- Sangla: 240 kms/ 8-9 hrs
